Everything you need for a smooth order: what to tell us, which artwork files to send, how Pantone colour matching works, how big we can print and what your free visual proof shows.
Ordering custom clothing or branded merchandise should not mean weeks of emails. Send us the basics through our quote form, by phone or on WhatsApp, and a dedicated Account Manager comes back to you within 15 minutes with pricing and options. They stay with your order from the first message to delivery.
The single biggest thing that speeds up an order is the right artwork. This guide explains which files to send for each print method, how we match your brand colours and what happens at each stage, so your order goes through first time.
Tell us the garments or products, quantities, sizes, colours, print positions and your deadline, and upload your artwork. Your Account Manager replies within 15 minutes.
Once your order is confirmed you get a free visual proof within 30 minutes, showing the garment, colours, sizes, print size and position. Nothing is printed until you approve it.
Your order is printed or embroidered and every item is checked before packing. Clothing takes six to seven business days and merchandise five to nine working days.
Boxed and sent by tracked courier to your office, venue or event, anywhere in the UK, with delivery into Europe and worldwide when you need it.
The more of this you can give us, the faster and more accurate your quote will be. If you are not sure about any of it, leave it out and your Account Manager will help you decide.
Different print methods need different kinds of file. Vector artwork scales to any size without losing quality, so it is the safest choice for almost everything. If all you have is a flat image, send it anyway and we will tell you whether it needs work.
| Print method | Best file to send | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Screen printing | Vector artwork: AI, EPS or vector PDF with fonts outlined | Set your Pantone colours in the file if you can; we pick them out from it |
| DTG | PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI at print size | A 300 DPI JPEG is fine for white garments |
| DTF | PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI | Vector files work well too |
| Embroidery | Vector artwork, or a high resolution PNG or JPG | Digitising into a stitch file is included at no extra cost |
| All over printing | High resolution artwork at 300 DPI at full print size, covering the whole area | Keep key text and logos away from the seams |
| Promotional merchandise | Vector artwork: AI, EPS, PDF or SVG | A good quality PNG or JPG is fine to start with |
You can upload up to three files, 8MB in total, on our quote form. We accept JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, EPS, SVG and PSD files. Anything larger can be emailed to hello@1worldprint.co.uk with your name and order details in the subject line.
A logo saved from a website or a social media profile is almost always too small to print well, because it was made for a screen, not a t-shirt. If you can, ask whoever designed your logo for the original file. If that is not possible, we offer artwork redraws and edits, and for detailed multi colour screen prints we handle the colour separations for you.

For screen printing, every colour is mixed to a Pantone reference rather than taken from the nearest stock ink, so your logo comes out in your brand colour, not something close to it. Send your Pantone (PMS) references with your artwork, or set them in the file.
If you only have HEX, RGB or CMYK values, we convert them to the nearest Pantone colour and show it on your visual proof so you can check it first. Embroidery uses thread rather than ink, so we match your Pantone references to the closest thread shade. Our guides to Pantone colours in screen printing and colour in screen printing go into more detail.
Your free visual proof always shows the exact print size and position on your chosen garment, but these are the sizes to plan around.
| Maximum size | Typical use | |
|---|---|---|
| Standard screen print | Around A3 (29.7 x 42cm) | Full front and back prints on t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts |
| Jumbo screen print | 45 x 55cm | Oversized statement prints, especially on oversized tees |
| Sleeve print | 10 x 35cm | Running down a long sleeve, screen printed or DTG |
| All over print | Edge to edge | Sublimated designs covering the whole garment |
| Merchandise | Depends on the product | Your Account Manager confirms the print area for each item |
Every order includes a free visual proof before anything goes into production. It is a mock up of your order showing the garment code and colour, the sizes, the print size and position, and the print colours.
Check the proof carefully, especially spellings, dates and colours. If anything needs changing, tell your Account Manager and a revised proof is sent. Production only starts once you approve it.

Standard turnaround is six to seven business days for clothing and five to nine working days for merchandise, counted from artwork approval. If your date is tight, express printing in 48 hours or next day is available on request, and our express merchandise service covers branded products. All over printing is not available on express.
Businesses, schools, charities and organisations can apply for a credit account with 30 or 60 day terms through our client registration page, which makes repeat orders simpler. Larger teams can also have a branded web shop so staff can order their own uniforms.
Vector artwork, such as an AI, EPS or vector PDF file with fonts outlined, works for almost every method. For DTG and DTF, a PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI is ideal. If you only have a flat image, send it anyway and we will tell you whether it needs work.
Usually it is too low resolution to print well. Send the best version you have and we will advise. We offer artwork redraws and edits if the original file is not available.
