This policy explains how 1WorldPrint collects, uses and protects personal data when you use this website, ask us for a quote, register as a client, order from us or contact us. We have kept it as plain as we can. If anything is unclear, email hello@1worldprint.co.uk.
1WorldPrint LTD (“1WorldPrint”, “we” or “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales under number 12569672, with its registered office at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. We are the “controller” of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used. We follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Most of the people we deal with are buying for a business, so much of the personal data we hold is business contact details. Depending on how you deal with us, we collect:
If the artwork or lists you send us contain other people's personal data, such as names and numbers for team shirts or photographs, please make sure you are allowed to share them. We use that data only to produce your order.
The law says we need a “lawful basis” for each way we use personal data. These are ours:
| What we do | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Respond to quote requests, prepare pricing and free visual proofs | Contract: taking steps at your request before an order |
| Make, pack, deliver and invoice your order, and run your company's web store | Contract |
| Open and manage trade accounts, and assess and monitor credit | Contract, and legitimate interests (checking that business customers can pay) |
| Keep accounting and tax records and meet other legal duties | Legal obligation |
| Handle queries, complaints, reprints and refunds, and improve our service | Legitimate interests (running and improving our business) |
| Keep our website, systems and orders secure and prevent fraud | Legitimate interests |
| Tell business contacts about our services and news | Legitimate interests, or consent where the law requires it |
| Use cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary | Consent |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights and expectations. You can object at any time (see Your rights below). You can opt out of marketing emails whenever you like, using the link in the email or by contacting us.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where we need to, with:
Where a provider handles your data on our behalf, we have a contract in place that requires it to protect that data.
This section is our cookie policy. It explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on 1worldprint.co.uk, what each one does and how you can change your choices.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, work in much the same way. They let a website remember things between pages and visits, and some of them help the owner understand how the website is used.
Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and UK GDPR) we can use cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work without asking. For everything else, such as analytics, we ask for your consent first and only set those cookies if you agree.
When you first visit our website, a banner asks whether you are happy for us to use analytics cookies. You can choose Accept all, Reject all, or Manage settings to turn each type on or off. Until you make a choice, no analytics or marketing cookies are set, and Google Analytics is not loaded at all. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the website works fully either way.
These are needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choice. They are always on.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1wp-consent (browser storage) | 1WorldPrint | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every page | 12 months |
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are viewed, how people find our website and which enquiry forms are used, so we can improve it. Google Analytics is set up so that it does not use the data for advertising unless you also allow marketing cookies.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visitors apart so we can count visits | 2 years |
| _ga_ followed by our ID | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit | 2 years |
These are off unless you turn them on in Manage settings. If you allow them, Google may use the information collected by Google Analytics to help us measure our Google advertising. We do not currently set any marketing cookies of our own, and we will list any we add here.
Our website hosts its own fonts, so loading a page does not connect your browser to Google Fonts.
Our website links to other websites and services, including Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Trustpilot, our online clothing catalogue and client web stores. When you follow one of these links you leave our website, and the other site may set its own cookies. Those cookies are controlled by that site and its own cookie policy, not by us.
You can change your mind at any time. Use the button below, or the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, to open your cookie choices again. When you turn analytics off, we remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers explain how in their help pages. If you block all cookies, our website will still work, but we will ask for your cookie choice on each visit.
Some of our providers, such as Google and Meta (WhatsApp), may process data outside the UK. When personal data is sent outside the UK we make sure it stays protected, for example by relying on countries the UK government has approved, the UK-US data bridge for certified US companies, or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
When a period ends we delete or anonymise the data.
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including limiting access to the staff who need it and using trusted providers. No online service can be completely secure, so please take care with your passwords and with any artwork you send us.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email hello@1worldprint.co.uk. We normally reply within one month and do not charge a fee. We may need to confirm who you are first, and some rights apply only in certain situations.
If you are unhappy with how we have used your data, please tell us first at hello@1worldprint.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and look into it without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Our website and services are for businesses and adults. They are not aimed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
