Here at 1WorldPrint, sustainability is at the core of what we do and stand for. We make sure all of our printable and customised products and clothing meet, and in most cases exceed, industry standards, and that they meet our clients' expectations and requirements.
Industry approved health and safety practices are in place, ensuring and promoting a safe working environment for everyone.
We work to reduce our impact on the environment, from the garments we recommend to the way we quote, invoice and deliver.
We promote water based inks whenever possible in our screen printing.
We always offer and promote ethically forward thinking brands such as Stanley/Stella, Continental Clothing and AS Colour.
We pay the London Living Wage to all staff, both those who work within London and those who work elsewhere in the UK.
All employees within the manufacturing process have the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining with any organisations they choose.
We do not discriminate against employees in any way.
We collect any spare garments bought from us free of charge, so nothing goes to waste.
We make sure our products are manufactured in a fair and responsible manner. Many of our products come with Fair Trade certification, and we always aim to add the latest sustainable and eco friendly products and services as they become available.
Stanley/Stella and Earth Positive, two of the ethical brands we print, are both members of the Fair Wear Foundation, an independent organisation that works to improve conditions for the people who make clothing.
We look to supply products dyed with GOTS approved chemicals, using low water and controlled waste discharge processes, certified to the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I and conforming to REACH.
The textile industry produces a huge number of garments every year, and far too many of them end up in landfill. We want to be part of the solution, not the problem.
At 1WorldPrint, we believe recycling is no longer an option. It is a must. That is why we are taking a step further in our journey towards circularity and offer a free collection service for any spare garments bought from us. We understand that it is almost impossible to order the exact number you need, and you do not want to be left short. Get in touch to arrange a collection.
Sustainable manufacturing is the production of products using economical and sound processes that reduce negative environmental damage and impact, whilst conserving natural resources and energy.
The carbon footprint (CO2e) is the total carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and other greenhouse gases emitted during the cultivation and harvesting of cotton, fibre processing, textile production, packaging, transportation and warehousing. One of 1WorldPrint's suppliers became the first company in the world to calculate the carbon footprint and place the Carbon Reduction Label on textile products.
Together with our suppliers, we work to reduce the carbon footprint of products by around 90% through a combination of innovative product design, low impact organic agriculture, efficiency in manufacturing, and replacing standard grid electricity with renewable wind power. We offer online catalogues, we minimise and recycle waste, and our partners and suppliers are committed to continuous improvements in environmental performance. All of our quotes and invoices are electronic, which avoids paper and further reduces waste.
When you choose a printer, it is worth making sure the company has taken all health and safety precautions for its staff, that the clothes are made from safe and non hazardous materials and that nobody was exploited during any part of manufacturing.
We use national couriers such as DPD and UPS, which have their own environmental policies covering energy use and environmental protection.
At 1WorldPrint, we really love to give back. Every one of our charity clients benefits from an ongoing 20% discount, and if another supplier beats our price on a like for like basis, we will beat it.
