Euro 2028 is heading to the UK and Ireland, the first men's European Championship to be hosted across the four nations. For pubs, bars, hotels, shops, event organisers and supporters' clubs, it is a rare chance to win new customers on home soil. This guide explains what is happening and when, and how to plan Euro 2028 staff uniforms, branded merchandise to sell on site and supporters' merch so you are ready for the opening match.
At 1WorldPrint we print and embroider clothing and merchandise for hospitality businesses, sports events and brands across the UK, from our base in London. Euro 2028 brings matches to eight host cities, and the businesses that plan their clothing early will be the ones that look the part when the fans arrive.

Short answer: Euro 2028 runs from 9 June to 9 July 2028 in the UK and Ireland, with 24 teams, 51 matches and the final at Wembley.
UEFA Euro 2028 is jointly hosted by England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland. The tournament opens in Cardiff on 9 June 2028, and both semi-finals and the final, on 9 July 2028, are played at Wembley Stadium. These are the host cities and the number of matches each one is due to stage:
| Host city | Stadium | Matches |
|---|---|---|
| London | Wembley Stadium | 8, including both semi-finals and the final |
| Dublin | Aviva Stadium | 7 |
| Cardiff | Principality Stadium | 6, including the opening match |
| Glasgow | Hampden Park | 6 |
| London | Tottenham Hotspur Stadium | 5 |
| Manchester | Etihad Stadium | 5 |
| Liverpool | Everton Stadium | 5 |
| Newcastle | St James' Park | 5 |
| Birmingham | Villa Park | 4 |
The host nations no longer qualify automatically. They compete in the qualifying groups, which are drawn in Belfast on 6 December 2026 and played between March and November 2027, with two places at the finals reserved for the two highest ranked hosts that do not qualify directly. The play-offs in March 2028 then complete the line-up.
A home tournament is very different from one played abroad. Every match will be played in UK time, fans will travel between the host cities for a month, and the whole country will be watching. The UK government expects socio-economic benefits of up to 2.4 billion pounds from the tournament. It is also expected to draw more than 3 million visitors to the UK and Ireland, and Manchester City Council expects its matches to bring over 300,000 fans to the city.
The 2026 World Cup showed what a major tournament can do for UK hospitality, even with the matches played in North America, across difficult time differences. Pub and bar spending rose 16% during the tournament compared with the month before, as our look back at staff uniforms for the 2026 World Cup explains. With Euro 2028 played on home soil, the opportunity is bigger again.

When a venue is full for a big match, matching staff uniforms build the atmosphere, make staff easy to find and put your brand into every photo fans share. For pubs, bars and venue groups, the most useful garments are:
| Garment | Why it works | Minimum order |
|---|---|---|
| Printed t-shirts | Puts the whole team in one match day design at a low cost per shirt | 20 screen printed, 8 DTG |
| Embroidered polo shirts | A smarter look for managers, restaurants and hotel bars | 8 units |
| Aprons | Protects clothing and carries your logo behind the bar | 8 units |
| Caps and hats | Finishes the uniform and doubles as merch | 8 units |
| Hoodies | For door staff and outdoor areas on cooler evenings | 20 screen printed, 8 embroidered |
Print the person's job title on the back of the garment, such as Bar Staff, Manager or Security, so customers can quickly find the right person in a crowd. For groups with several sites, screen printing to Pantone colours keeps every venue in exactly the same shade, as our guide to Pantone colours in screen printing explains.

Businesses in and around the host cities will see visiting fans from across Europe for a month, on top of their regular customers. A few simple ideas help front of house teams stand out and make visitors feel welcome:
We print for businesses in every host city in Great Britain, including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow and Cardiff, with tracked UK delivery.

Fan festivals, screenings, volunteer programmes and community events around the tournament all need clothing that makes staff and volunteers easy to identify. Bright, bold t-shirts with a clear role on the back work best, and they are usually ordered in large numbers, which is where screen printing gives the best value.

For larger orders, our guide to bulk event t-shirt printing covers garments, sizing and timings. Event teams also need branded lanyards for passes and accreditation, and branded water bottles are a practical choice for staff and volunteers working long summer days.

Supporters' clubs, fan groups and venues selling their own merch can all make the most of the tournament with clothing fans will want to wear to every match. Popular choices include:
One important point: official tournament names, logos, mascots and national team crests are protected trademarks. The safest designs use your own venue, club or company branding with general football themes, such as colours, slogans and match day graphics. If you are selling merch, our guide to keeping t-shirt printing costs low helps protect your margin, and our merchandise catalogues have thousands more products to brand.
The best method depends on how many pieces you need, your design and how hard the clothing will be worked:
| Method | Best for | Minimum order |
|---|---|---|
| Screen printing | Large staff, volunteer and merch orders, with exact Pantone colours | 20 units |
| Direct to garment (DTG) | Full colour designs on cotton for smaller teams | 8 units |
| Direct to film (DTF) | Individual names and numbers, and polyester garments | 8 units |
| Embroidery | Polos, caps and aprons with a premium, hard wearing finish | 8 units |
| Puff printing | Raised logos for standout supporters' merch | 25 units |
Screen printing requires vectored artwork, such as an AI, EPS or vector PDF file. If you are not sure which method suits your design, our printing techniques page compares them all, and your dedicated Account Manager will recommend the best option when you ask for a quote.
